Wow!!! What a fabulous time we had at Athaliah Temple in
Orlando. We stayed at Bahia Shrine Center which is also where the banquet was
held. Athaliah initiated 8 new members in a beautifully done Ceremonial. Great
job ladies! I’m not sure if it’s because of the close proximity to Disney or
not but much of the music played was from many different Disney movies; It’s a
Small World, Dippity Doo Dah, Hi Ho Hi Ho, etc. We couldn’t help but clap and
sing along…so much fun!! The frivolity continued at the banquet with 2 units
performing and a special tribute to the “Love for the Children Tour, done by Past
Supreme Queen Alyce S. Thomas; “The Wheels on the Coach go Round and Round”, a
spoof of our travels. Leave it to PSQ Alyce and her sense of humor!! Alyce also
presented a huge Shrine Bear to Supreme Queen Margaret Ann to be donated to the
Shrine Hospital in Tampa. So, Fezzy Bear has found a temporary home on Nila. The
Athaliah Comedy Dancers and Fun Band both performed as well. Fun, fun, fun! We
are now part of a 2 unit Thor Challenger caravan. Marge Clericuzio PQ from
Shilah Temple in Melbourne has joined us in our travels through Florida. Looks
like we’ll be tale gating at many of the overnight stops!! Well, we’ll try
really hard to have a good time! More later……
